Saturday evening, we celebrated Brody's birthday with some of Brody's little friends and their families. We had the party at The Little Gym. We knew that it would be nearly impossible to have a party at home with friends only 2 weeks after having a baby so we decided this summer to use TLG and I am sooo glad we did! They took care of everything from sending out invitations to set-up and clean-up. Literally, all we had to do was walk in with the cake and snacks and they did everything else! It was the BEST party! I loved being able to enjoy watching Brody play without having to worry about doing a thing.
Zach, Lilly, Harper and Brayden playing with the shakers. If you look at the far right of the picture you can see Brody being mischievous! Ha! He loved all the colorful balls they had to toss and play with. Stella was getting some help from her daddy while she walked across the balance beam. Brody showing his skills on the bars! He LOVED these!Blake, Brandon and Chris Zach walking across another balance beam. Notice the little blue blur in the background! :)Playing the musical sticks.Jillian and Payne hung out during the party. :)Jillian slept the entire time. You can tell she is used to living in a house with a loud little boy because the noise of all the kids didn't bother her at all!Playing with the parachute! This required some of the parents to help out!Sweet Colson slept during the party, too! I just love those sweet little cheeks. The bouncy thing was a lot of fun! Brody still had his shakers in his hand. He played with those the entire party! Some of the mommas and daddies. I am so thankful for our sweet friends! Reese, Caedmon and Brody jumping around!Sweet Hailey crawling around the play mate. Brody giving Brayden a little hug. This made me laugh! After an hour of playtime, we moved into the party room for snacks, cake and presents. The girls took care of setting up the table and getting all the snacks set out. We had Chick-Fil-A chicken nuggets, goldfish and Capri Suns...All Brody's favorites! We also had a cookie cake instead of a regular birthday cake. Brody's LOVES cookie cakes and the plus side was that they are way less messy than a regular cake. Josh ordered the cookie cake and had them do a construction theme since it's Brody's current obsession! I thought this turned out soooo cute!Blowing out his candle! He kept telling us all weekend he wanted to "blow the happy cake!"Zach asked me to take his picture! He also told his mom he needed his hair spiked so he could match Brody's hair! How cute is that?Buddies! Josh and I with the birthday boy! He wouldn't move his hand away from his mouth! Ha!Sweet Reese! She had her party at TLG a few months ago so that is how we got the idea for Brody's party. After everyone finished their snacks, Brody opened presents. He really enjoyed himself!I love his face in this picture! He was taking the gift opening very seriously! How cute is this? Reese was really interested in the gifts. He got A TON of construction toys and car gifts! He was so thrilled! We tried to get a picture of all the kids together. You can imagine how easy that was when they were all 1-3 years old! We had a wonderful time celebrating Brody's birthday! We are so thankful for friends and family who came to celebrate with us! It was such a fun night and an easy night for this momma. I already told Josh I wanted to have Brody's party at The Little Gym again next year! Ha! Tomorrow, I will post pictures from our family lunch party at our house Sunday!
